Seven time Grammy Award winning musician Prince is known for his unconventional ways, and finding a director for his new video was no exception. Prince reached out to 18-year-old model and actress Danielle Curiel via email and asked her to submit a music video for his song Breakfast Can Wait. The famed musician also provided Danielle with a budget for the production. The Dominican actress described her reaction to the opportunity saying “Oh My God, what am I going to do, I am so young, so I’m like, I can handle it.” She tells OK Magazine that Prince allowed her creative freedom and never disagreed with any of her ideas. Prince is known for being very shy and reserved, so most of the communication between the two was done over email.
